Ummm, where do I begin??! I had never been to Nantucket before. When the girls mentioned we’d be spending a night there during our #BloggersDoBoston trip planning, I had mixed feelings. For one, I was really excited to spend the week in Boston and felt like there was so much to do, so much to see, and so little time. And two, it’s not like Nantucket is around the corner. We had to go back to the airport to rent a car, drive to Hyannis, and then take a ferry to the island! If that doesn’t seem like a lot, we had do it all over again in reverse order in less than 24 hours! Exhausting!!
Well, I can now say that I am beyond happy we escaped the city to explore this amazing little town! The drive and ferry there were easy and we had a ton of fun “road tripping.” Plus, we stayed at 76 Main, AKA THE CUTEST PLACE EVER!
The only not so fun part about the trip was our walk from the dock to the hotel. It’s not far at all, but when you’re walking slightly uphill, in booties with a heel, lugging a 50 pound suitcase ON COBBLESTONE, you can say it was a bit of a challenge. Longest 6 minutes of my life and surely NOT our smartest move! You can bet the next day we paid for a 40 second cab ride when leaving to go back to the ferry!! Next time [and I hope there is a next time], I think sneakers and a lighter suitcase will be the way to go! If only you can see the looks we were getting from people. We were “those girls” A LOT on this trip, haha!!
Nantucket is one of the most charming places I’ve ever been to. It was off season which we didn’t mind because we got to explore around without tons of people in the way, but I would definitely love to see what it’s like in the summertime. Every home and store front has so much character! It’s such a unique place!
76 Main is the first Lark Hotel I’ve ever stayed at. It’s conveniently located on Main Street [duh], so we had access to all of the restaurants and shops in seconds. When Steph and I checked into our room, we both said we felt like we were at summer camp [but times a million times nicer]!
As you can see, the decor is beyond perfect. It’s nautical, it’s luxurious and something I like to call “country beach chic,” whatever that means! Every room is adorable and felt cheerful with bright, bold colors.
The most delicious breakfast was included with our stay, filled with fresh fruit, overnight oats, earl grey scones, maple almond toast, and many more home baked goodies that were worth every single calorie.
The outdoor courtyard area is SO cute! It’s in the middle of a bunch of the rooms, including the two we stayed in. The rest of the rooms are inside the main home by the living room and breakfast room shown above. At night, the fire pits are lit and it’s the coziest spot to pre-game, post-game, or set up shop for the entire evening. They even have their own BYOB mixer bar to encourage you come and enjoy this space.
Steph and I stayed in a double twin room with pops of green, yellow, and turquoise. Nina and Lawren stayed in the famous vineyard vines suite just two doors down filled with the cutest marine decor. I love how each room is unique!
Nina and I may or may not have snuck into another room that we were OBSESSED with! In reality, we of course asked permission to view the other rooms that were unoccupied and even got the okay to do a brief photo sesh!
Lastly, I want to give you a taste of 76 Main. Literally. I’m sharing their Salted Chocolate Chip Cookie recipe because it was the best cookie I’ve ever had in my entire life!!! For real. No exaggeration! Make these and please come back to tell me how amazing they are!!!
