Everyday Style + Last Minute Holiday Shopping

We’re exactly a week away from the first night of Hanukkah and Christmas Eve. Can you believe it?!! Where did this year go?! Casey, Harley, and I get in to New York today and will be there until after the new year. We actually just got back from Charlotte yesterday after a super quick 48 hour trip, so it’s just been a really hectic week to say the least. I wore this outfit in the Queen City while meeting a friend for coffee and catching up on life. In case you’re new to Sunflowers and Stilettos, I lived in Charlotte for 3 wonderful years, but after Harley was a year old, I really wanted to be closer to family so forced convinced Casey to move to south Florida, where my parents and siblings are.

So anyway, before I start going on and on about things you probably could care less about, let’s chat about this look, shall we?! This is a perfect example of my everyday style. I love wearing jeans, neutral colors, light layers, and often a fun accessory or statement piece. Most of my looks are cool, casual, chic. [At least that’s what I hope they are]. Nothing too fancy or overly feminine. I enjoy playing around with different trends and once in awhile will spruce things up, but again, I’m a pretty Basic B and stick to simple pieces.

I can’t tell you how much I love this suede moto jacket from ASOS. It reminds me a lot of this really popular one so many of my friends have. The quality is great and this chocolate color is just gorgeous. I usually get tops and dresses from there, but lately they’ve been on point with their jacket and coat collection. This $46 velvet bomber is also a newbie to my closet and it’s the bomb dot com! If you’re still needing to get a gift for a special lady [or guy] in your life, definitely check and see what they’ve got! The last day for holiday delivery is 12/21.

Now on to my boots… Payless continues to surprise me with their stylish selection of affordable shoes. These zip ankle booties are actually in collaboration with American Eagle. I’m such a sucker for an exposed zipper. The low, chunky heel made it easy and comfortable as Casey and I were running [yes, legit running] through the airport to catch our flight to Charlotte Wednesday and then back home to Florida yesterday. As I said, it’s been a hectic week, haha!! Anyway, they really are the perfect everyday shoe for busy women on the go [like me] who want to be comfy while looking put together.

For Men: If you’re looking for a splurge item, Casey says that these headphones are the absolute best. By far better than Bose and Beets. He’s constantly on the phone for work [like all day, every day] and does a tremendous amount of traveling, so he’s a bit of a headphone snob. Below are more gift ideas:
