Dressing for holiday parties or Christmas Eve dinner should be fun and stress free! But we all know this time of year can be extremely busy for lots of people in both their personal and professional lives, and sometimes outfit planning is not a priority. I’m here to show you how to get holiday ready in no time!

Wear All Black: As much as I love holiday sparkle and metallics, all black looks will always be appropriate, chic, and in style. Perhaps it’s the New Yorker in me, but you can do no wrong in all black. Consider a jumpsuit or a long sleeve lace LBD, or even a pair of well fitted pants with a pretty blouse. For this look, I’m wearing a cotton turtleneck tucked into a velvet pencil skirt…two pieces that will definitely be worn time and time again. Velvet has been the “it” material this season and I just love it! It looks so rich and luxurious.

Red Lipstick: I rarely wear a red lip, but I just love it this time of year. Especially with an all black look, red lipstick is bold and beautiful. I used to hate red lipstick on me, but once I learned that all reds are not created equal and figured out which ones looked best with my skin color, it was a complete game changer. If you are looking for a lipstick that doesn’t smudge and smear easily, this is the one I swear by. It comes in a variety of gorgeous hues.

Statement Accessories: Ummmm, can we discuss these earrings for a second?! They are a WOW piece for sure. And this clutch has been a go to favorite of mine since the second I owned it. They’re both perfect examples of what I mean by statement accessories. You don’t have to go crazy over doing it, but it’s the holiday season, so why not have some fun and bring out the bling bling!! Most of the accessories below can be here by Christmas Eve if you order today:

Sexy Shoes: Whether it’s a metallic pump, a lace up red sandal, OTK boots, or a simple, yet sophisticated ankle strap heel [like these Payless ones], wear a shoe that makes you feel confident and beautiful. Shoes are often the first item in my outfit picked out, and then I figure out the rest of my ensemble. These particular heels go with everything! The block heel makes it a little more comfortable than a stiletto, without sacrificing style in any way. They’re also on sale for $29.99 and come in three other colors. Don’t think you’ll find better than these!!

And that’s it you guys! Four easy ways to get holiday ready in no time!! As I said before, you probably own everything mentioned above already, so no need to panic if you don’t have time to run to the mall or rush order something. Hope you liked these tips and I’d love to hear how you get holiday ready in the comments below!
