This is such a special Bump Day for me because today I get to meet one of my closest friend, Jovanna’s little boy, Lucas Alexander. Born on May 8th, weighing in at 7lbs 14oz, 20 inches. Look at this perfect little munchkin (and his gorgeous momma):
In addition to getting to meet my soon to be daughter’s future husband (Jovanna called dibbs on that the second she found out we were having a girl), these past two weeks I’ve been in Florida spending quality time with my nephew Jaxon and several of my besties and their babies. It’s funny how different these last few trips home have been. Usually, whenever I’d visit, there would be a packed itinerary of dinner and drinks with the girls, Sunday Fundays at the beach or pool, a night out on South Beach or Ft. Lauderdale. Now that it’s Baby Central, things have changed just a tad. I love seeing my friends as mothers and getting a glimpse of their every day. I’m really proud of them and think they’re all doing an amazing job. Raising a tiny human is seriously no joke!
Baby C is the size of a spaghetti squash or papaya this week. During month five, the average fetus measures about 10.5 to 11.8 inches and weighs about 12.7 to 20.8 ounces. I can feel my skin stretching as she is starting to take up all the room in my stomach, so I’ve been lathering up with Coconut Oil like a crazy person. I love feeling her move! I’m still feeling wonderful (maybe a little or lot more plumped than usual), but all in all, can’t complain!
