There are tons of trends that I love, but acknowledge are not meant for every body shape. I’m vertically challenged (only 5’3″) and have always been more curvy than my stick skinny friends. Growing up there were plenty of references to JLo (thank you Rob Follano if you are reading this), so I’m fully aware of my “more to love” parts and sometimes struggle with wearing an item that is so cute on the hanger, but not flattering when on my body. The Harem Pant (a more modern version of Aladdin or MC Hammer’s famous bottoms) look effortlessly cool when worn correctly. Celebs like Olivia Palermo and Sienna Miller pull them off perfectly, but I’m pretty sure they look good in everything they wear. I haven’t completely given up my search because somehow Jennifer Lopez also makes it work. Hers are usually gold and glitzy, and probably cost more than all of my pants put together, but it gives me slight hope. In the meantime, I’m sticking to a loose trouser to accomplish a similar look.
