New Year’s Resolution with ClassPass

December 31, 2014

It’s New Years Eve, can you believe it?!!!  I hope everyone had a wonderful Chanukah and Christmas!  We have been up in New York for two weeks now, loving every minute spending time with family and friends.  I took a little blogging and social media break while being up here.  I’m eager to get home and get back into the swing of things, but am certainly going to enjoy the last few days we have.

This time last year, Casey and I found out we were expecting and it is crazy to think I spent almost all of 2014 being pregnant, and now a mom.  I am REALLY looking forward to 2015 and getting my body back!!  I was fortunate enough to have an easy and enjoyable pregnancy and delivery.  I gained a total of 24 lbs and never once got sick.  With that being said, your body still goes through such an extreme transformation.  The human body is an amazing, amazing thing.  A week after having Harley, I was already down 16 lbs and thought it was going to be easy peasy losing the rest of the weight.  If I’m being honest, there’s been minimal effort on my end, so inevitably I have some work ahead of me if I want to lose the rest of it.  I’m done with the procrastinating, the slacking and the excuses.  It is time to put a little focus back on me again, so I can feel like myself and be the best wife and mom possible.

Class Pass Charlotte

I’m super excited to introduce you to ClassPass.  ClassPass is a fitness start up that helps people discover the best fitness classes in their city.  If I could create the perfect workout program, this would be it.  I’m a little A.D.D. when it comes to working out.  Growing up, I always played a sport…field hockey, basketball, lacrosse, softball, volleyball, track.  You name it, I played it, (even played baseball with the boys), so being active and getting a little sweaty has always been an important part of my life, BUT I am not a lover of the gym and can get unmotivated at times.  ClassPass gives you the opportunity to check out multiple studios in your area.  For just $79 a month (in Charlotte), your pass includes up to 3 classes at any partner studio each month, for as many classes total as you’d like.  It allows you to build a workout routine full of variety visiting studios of all types (barre, yoga, pilates, indoor cycling, bootcamps, martial arts, strength training and more!).

Currently, ClassPass is available in:

New York, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Chicago, Miami, Boston, Washington DC, Seattle, Atlanta, Austin, Charlotte, Columbus, Dallas/Fort Worth, Denver, Houston, Minneapolis/St. Paul, Philadelphia, Phoenix, Portland, San Diego.

You can check out their site and look up the participating studios in your area, but the list of affiliated places is ginormous!!  They just launched in Charlotte this week and I am SO excited to get started!!  This is perfect for people like me who may get bored easily and like trying different workouts.  You can also utilize ClassPass for a short duration, like 2-3 months, and use it to test out different studios so you can compare and find the one that suits you best before you decide to join a specific place full time.  Travel a lot?  ClassPass Flex allows you to work out in ANY of their cities!  How awesome is that?!!  Feel free to check out the ClassPass FAQ for more details.  Can’t wait to tackle my New Year’s resolution and get back in shape!
