It’s us again! The awkwardly matching mother daughter duo! I can’t help but think of the scene in How To Lose a Guy in 10 Days, when Andi visits Benny-wenny’s office to surprise him with their new dog, Krull AKA “Tinkle King” and matching Burberry ensembles. “Well, congratulations, little plaid family.” I freaking love that movie!

Both plaid and faux fur are Fall items that can be carried into Winter. If you live up north however, a vest is not going to be warm enough on its own. We clearly didn’t have that problem when wearing these outfits in Florida, but we did have to stock up on some cold weather accessories and outerwear for our New York trip. When Old Navy  had a huge sale awhile back, we scored some really great, affordable pieces. If you have a little girl and are looking for some cute jackets and coats, check out these:

Since I had some vacation days to use up before the end of the year, I’ve been off of work this week and have been thoroughly enjoying getting to play with Miss Harley Liv all day long. She is so smart and ridiculously funny and I just can’t believe how fast she’s been growing up! I seriously want to eat her up! She doesn’t pay attention to much tv at this time [which is totally okay with me], except she’s become OBSESSED with the Mickey Mouse Clubhouse intro and exit songs. My nephew, Jaxon dances to it everyday after school, so now Harley is addicted. It’s the cutest thing watching them sing and dance along! If only we had her watch it prior to going to Disneyworld [where she was terrified of Mickey].

I’m so excited for Christmas Eve because we’ll be spending the evening with Casey’s grandparents who haven’t seen Harley since her first birthday. They’re gonna melt when they see her! Whether you celebrate Christmas or not, I hope you all have the chance to enjoy the day with someone you love. Casey has been traveling so much for work lately and we’ve both been consumed with work calls and emails, so I’m really looking forward to having a few days to relax together as a family.
