Walking into Boston Park Plaza was like a dream…
After waking up early and spending all day touring around Boston, we were so exhausted. I honestly thought I was going to crash the second we checked into our rooms. BUT, after walking into this hotel, a new wave of energy and excitement took over and gave me LIFE!
When the doors opened to the Presidential Suite, we were all just in awe. The bellman probably thought this was the first time we’ve ever stayed in an upscale hotel as we’re Snapchatting our every move and being giddy as ever. [He also probably thought we were INSANE with our 8+ massive suitcases that took up two luggage carts!] And while I may have stayed in nice hotels in my lifetime, I’ve never been in a hotel room quite as HUGE and grand like this one. We could have legit played football in the living room area [except I’d be too scared that my clumsy butt would break something]!
Would you believe that this ginormous room is just for two people?!! The Presidential Suite has a living room, dining room, kitchen, tv sitting area, one and a half bathrooms, and one bedroom with a king size bed, so Stephanie and I actually slept in a King Deluxe right next to Nina and Lawren‘s suite. We shared a private hallway and kept our doors open, so it felt like one big, connected suite even though it was technically two separate rooms.
Our room was a bit more contemporary, simple and bright, which is so my style. White bedding, a white headboard, and lots of natural light are three key pieces to a perfect bedroom [in my opinion]. There’s something so spa like and calming about it. But don’t get me wrong…the Presidential Suite was SICK and I could totally get used to staying in a room like that! Haha!! Both rooms were sophisticated and modern, but still very cozy!
Boston Park Plaza is perfectly located in the heart of the city, just a block away from the Common and walking distance to dozens of attractions. While there are tons of restaurants nearby, we conveniently ate dinner in the hotel two of the four nights.
Named one of the hottest new steakhouses in the U.S. by Zagat, STRIP by Strega is an uber-modern, chic restaurant attached to the Boston Park Plaza. We came here our first night staying at BPP. The food, the service, and the ambiance were all top notch. I had the lobster gnocchi appetizer and petite filet for dinner, which were both melt in your mouth delicious, accompanied by a nice glass of Malbec chosen from their excellent selection of wines. I was full before I even touched my steak, yet somehow managed to wash it down with a few bites of the baked alaska and banana split brought to the table. Total food coma!
Our second evening at BPP, we ate at Off The Common, which is located in the center of the hotel lobby. I ordered the arugula salad as an app and seabass for my entree. Both were SO SO good! The seabass had chunks of lobster in the dish as well. Clearly I wasn’t leaving Boston hungry!!
