Oh Boy! We’re Having a Boy! – Baby Announcement

SURPRISE!!

We are preggers!! Baby BOY Cittadino will be added to our crew, early January 2018!!! I’m 14+ weeks, so am into my second trimester. I’m feeling good! A bit large and in charge, but good!

I sort of knew that we’d be having a boy due to two separate encounters with psychics at two completely different events I attended. A lot of my family and friends thought I was crazy for believing both women, BUT what are the chances that two complete strangers gave me an almost identical reading 7 months apart from one another?! There were accurate details about our home, our work, Harley, and our future BOY. So yeah, I trusted what they said was and is true!

Harley is really excited to be a big sister! She wanted a little sister, not brother [LOL], but is already so sweet about it. She was the first person I told after Casey and I found out. I wasn’t quite sure if she would truly understand everything, but she totally did. After I told her, Casey came into the room about ten minutes later and Harley screamed, “DADDY!!! THERE’S A BABY IN MOMMY’S BELLY!!!!” at the top of her lungs! And, she’ll constantly rest her head on my stomach and ask if the baby is awake or sleeping. She’ll even say she wants to hold his hand, and then stick her finger in my belly button!! Haha! It’s seriously the cutest thing!

Anyway, I feel much better now that it’s out in the open. It’s always so awkward when people clearly start to look different, but you don’t want to be rude and ask them if they’re pregnant, in case they’re not. I was having major anxiety trying to hide my tummy in yesterday’s Instastories when I was showing a few of the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale items!

Speaking of the sale, which I hate to even bring up right now, but I am… today is the LAST DAY to get 10 points for every dollar spent at Nordstrom when using your Nordstrom Debit or Credit Card!! Yesterday, their site was down for a few hours, so as an apology, they are rewarding shoppers with 10X points from any purchases made 7/12 – 7/14!!!

So what does this mean for Sunflowers and Stilettos?!

Not much will change over here! When I was pregnant with Harley, I tried to buy and wear as many non-maternity items as possible. This time around, I can tell my body is changing and showing way sooner, so I may inevitably have to incorporate some maternity, however, I don’t want that to take over my wardrobe! With that being said, you can expect to see everything you typically see from me, plus maybe a little baby news here and there.

I started this blog a few months after getting married to Casey, so it’s pretty cool to look back through all of the posts and see my life in such different stages. I can’t begin to tell you how much it means to me to all of you who have been following along since the very beginning… or to those who found me at some point and decided to stick around. Thank you!
