Is it just me or do the weekends fly by??!!  Since Casey was out of town, I had this master plan of reorganizing and cleaning every drawer and closet, and add to our massive Good Will pile.  Welp, that didn’t happen.  Not in the least bit.  I kept myself busy spending time with some new friends, and at night stayed up late watching ‘Sister Act,’ ‘Sister Act II,’ and ‘Thirteen Going on Thirty,’ and embarrassingly cried in all three movies.  Pregnancy does some weird ish to you I tell ya!  I’m Jewish, yet found “Oh Happy Day” and “Joyful, Joyful” to be the most touching songs I have ever heard.  I then texted my sister (who we joke about being heartless) and told her I’ve become her worst nightmare.  I can’t wait for the day she sheds a tear at something sappy and heartfelt!

Now on to my outfit.  This skirt was $12 from Forever21!  Can’t really beat that!  It comes in several other colors and prints and they were selling out fast in stores.  As of last night, they were still available online [and for the same price], so if you’re looking for a cute maxi, it’s worth checking out.  For my fellow preggers, the waist doesn’t have much give, so I’d definitely go up a size.  Thanks to Poppy Style,  I recently received these gorgeous handmade turquoise and gold bangles which go almost too perfectly with this necklace I’ve had for years.  I’m thinking of getting another bangle or two because who doesn’t love a good arm party.  I’m just debating if I want a different colored stone or another turquoise one.  I’m such a sucker for turquoise!!  Poppy Style has other beautiful handmade pieces made locally here in Charlotte, but of course if you purchase from their site, you can have your items shipped to you wherever you reside.

Because I’m always cold or am fearful of being cold, I’m a huge fan of scarves all year round.  This Shawlsmith London scarf however, is super lightweight and perfect for Spring.  We all know the saying “less is more,” which I do agree with sometimes, but certainly not all the time when it comes to fashion.   The more layers, colors, textures, and patterns, the more interesting an outfit can be.  Hope everyone has a painless Monday and great start to the week!

Love your lip color here! Do you remember what you used?

Hi Lori! Yes, it is Clinique’s Chubby Stick in heftiest hibiscus. It is one of the “intense” colors. Love it and it is super moisturizing compared to other lipsticks.
