J. Crew Denim Shirt [similar] // Abercrombie & Fitch Faux Leather Skort [sold out] This skirt is $14 and comes in several colors! Here is another affordable option. I’m obsessed with this splurge!! // Suede Fringe Bag // Steve Madden Heels [LOVE] // Sunnies [under $20!] // Michael Kors Watch
Wearing denim and leather together may not be a common combo for those not riding around in a biker gang, but I honestly love the two fabrics together. When worn correctly, it gives off a strong, confident, cool vibe. I’ve been seeing a ton of faux leather pencil skirts which would look killer with a chambray or denim top tucked in and a nice pair of pumps.
If I am being totally honest, the only reason I went into Abercrombie was because Harley’s diaper needed to be changed [and I often prefer changing her in dressing rooms versus public restrooms]. Real mom confession, sorry! I hadn’t even considered actually looking at the merchandise in the store so dodged straight to the back by the fitting rooms. I try not to be too obvious that I have zero intention on making a purchase, so quickly went to the clearance rack to grab a few things to “try on.” To my surprise, there was this amazing faux leather skort on the rack marked down to $22. I literally called the Sales Girl over to ask her if this was Abercrombie because it looked nothing like the overpriced, branded, preppy clothes I had remembered it once being. She informed me that Abercrombie had some changes in Corporate and underwent a huge rebrand and pricing structure – and then she told me my skirt was actually $11, not $22 because it was an additional 50% off clearance items. Mind blown. It needed to be mine.
