It’s amazing how many different subscription services there are.  From Birchbox to Rent The Runway, Rocksbox, and now Ditto, luxury items are becoming more and more accessible and attainable for the every day person. Sunglasses are one of the many things I have a wee bit of an obsession with. Lately, however, I’ve been “splurging” on $16-$20 a pair at places like Free People and Urban Outfitters.  I do love my designer styles however, and keeping up with the trends. A DITTO is a video of your face recorded from a webcam or your phone so you can virtually try on eyewear from every angle to see how they fit and look on you. When you sign up for an account, you have the option to create your DITTO to better help select which pair of glasses you’re going to order. You don’t have to use it, but it’s a pretty cool tool. If I’m being honest, I find that I still need to actually try on sunglasses in real life before deciding if I like them or not, but the DITTO technology certainly helps narrow down my favorites!

I’ve been using the service now for a month and have tried three pair: Karen Walker Super Duper Strength, Karen Walker Number Ones, & Prada. I’m thinking of purchasing the Karen Walker Number Ones because I love them so much!  The Prada [style: 0 PR 09 QS] comes in 4 colors [grey, light pink, tortoise & black], while the Karen Walkers come in tortoise and black.

What I like about DITTO aside from the obvious of having an unlimited amount of designer sunglasses to wear, is the promptness of shipping and ease of service. If you don’t like a pair or are ready to swap em out for something new, just place it back in the case and box it came in, stick the pre-paid mailing sticker on the box, and send it off. There may be times when the pair you want is not available – this happened to me twice, but it wasn’t a big deal because there are so many I want to try, so I just picked another pair!

I have yet to try on any of the prescription glasses, but lately my contacts have been bothering me a bit, so it might be fun to try a new pair of glasses. To order a pair of prescription glasses, you have to have your valid prescription handy. If you don’t have it, but have your doctor’s contact information – DITTO is happy to call your doctor to get your prescription. How amazing is that?!!
