Is charcoal the new black? Seriously, this past year, or probably even longer, all you hear about is charcoal this, charcoal that. It’s in toothpaste, cleansers, deodorants, and so much more. In fact, Casey [my husband] uses this charcoal face wash, and I recently got this charcoal face mask that has rave reviews.
Today, we’re going to focus on activated charcoal shampoo and conditioner. When I saw that Pantene came out with a new Charcoal Collection, I was intrigued. I’m someone who tries to go as long as possible in between washes. On average, I wash my hair once every five days. So with that being said, it’s really important that when I wash my hair, I use something that truly cleans my scalp and refreshes my hair.
Honestly, I wasn’t quite sure what to expect with Pantene’s Charcoal Collection, but I’m happy to report that I’m pretty impressed! The texture is just like regular shampoo and conditioner. For some reason, I imagined it to be a thick, pasty consistency, but it wasn’t. It smells delicious, and leaves your hair feeling smooth and conditioned.
I’ve had major issues in the past with clarifying shampoos leaving my scalp and hair super dry, and that’s not the case with the Pantene charcoal collection AT ALL. Both the shampoo and conditioner are formulated without parabens, silicone, and dyes. The Pantene Charcoal Collection shampoo focuses on removing dirt, oil, and other impurities from your hair, while the conditioner is a lightweight, nutrient-rich way to add shine.

Gets Rid of the Gunk
Gunk: Build Up. Scalp Oils. Styling Products. Dry Shampoo. Dirt.
Unlike skin, hair does not have a built-in purification system. Activated charcoal is known for its cleansing and purifying properties.
Detoxes
Activated charcoal absorbs impurities, like magnetic attraction. Toxins are pulled out of your scalp and hair naturally, so you don’t have to worry about having a negative reaction.
Healing Powers
I have extra dry skin in general, including my scalp. Activated charcoal can help heal itchiness, dandruff, and redness. Whether you’re oily or dry, using an activated charcoal shampoo like Pantene Charcoal can help balance and heal your scalp. Obviously if you have any major concerns regarding your scalp, it’s always best to see your physician.
Volumizes
Because activated charcoal is so purifying, your hair will be left lighter and bouncier when using a charcoal shampoo and conditioner. Pantene’s Charcoal Collection Shampoo and Conditioner brought life back into my hair!
Have I piqued your interest in trying a charcoal shampoo and conditioner?! Just be aware, charcoal products can range in price, some being pretty expensive. Pantene’s Charcoal Collection Shampoo and Conditioner is effective AND affordable. I highly recommend you try it!
I have been dying to try Pantene’s new charcoal shampoos and conditioners! Good to know they smell good as I have been wondering that!
It’s great both the shampoo and conditioner do not contain silicones or parabens. I do quite like their products they tend to work well for my hair.
I heard a lot about this charcoal shampoo and conditioner but never tried one before. I’m struggling to keep my hair healthy but hasn’t found the right product yet.
I have been using pantene since a very long time. Approximately 7 to 8 years. And it has never let me down. It has kept my hairs lovely. However I really never knew about the charcoal shampoo.
I would love to try a charcoal shampoo and conditioner. I have very oily hair so I have to be careful with my hair routine. I also try to only use cruelty-free beauty products so I don’t think I could use Pantene. But I’m definitely intrigued.
I have heard of charcoal in so many things, but this is the first time I have heard of it in shampoo or conditioner. What a great thing to test out!
I am a pantene user! But I’ve never heard of this collection. I do hope we will have them here. I’ve yet to see this in stores. If they’re available, I’ll definitely get this.
