As most of you already know, I just got back from a week long girls trip to Boston with Nina, Lawren, and Stephanie. Even though I’ve technically been to Boston before, it was always to watch Casey play lacrosse the one or two times a year his team would play at Harvard stadium. I’m so happy I finally got the opportunity to explore this amazing city with even better company!
We started our trip at the Courtyard Boston Downtown, in the Back Bay Theater District. The hotel was recently renovated and has a very modern chic look. Mostly black, white and grey with pops of color throughout the building. Everything from the artwork on the walls, to the carpet and flooring, to the choice of wallpaper used throughout the rooms…EVERYTHING was designed with purpose to encompass that theater feel.
Soon after checking in, we started getting a bit hangry, so walked just a couple of feet outside the hotel to get something to eat at Abby Lane. Since calories don’t count on vacation [right?!!], I had to go with the truffle burger and fries which was deeeelicious!! It was so nice and convenient having lots of places nearby that we could walk to! After stuffing our faces, we stopped by the room for a second to freshen up, change into new clothes before exploring more of the hotel and surrounding area.

Once it started to get dark, we headed back to the Courtyard for some drinks and apps at Post No. 10, the restaurant inside the Courtyard. It’s open for both breakfast and dinner. Because we were still stuffed from lunch, we just wanted a little something to hold us over through the night. A bowl of New England Clam Chowder hit the spot and pretty much put me into a coma! As soon as I crawled into my comfy bed, I was DUNZO and slept perfectly!
The following morning, we raided the very delicious breakfast buffet. There’s no room service in the hotel, but we wanted to eat quickly while getting ready for the day so took it all up to the room. They have a chef that makes fresh to order eggs, your choice of style. My omelette was really good and was exactly what I needed to fuel up! The buffet had everything you could have wanted and more!
Before checking out, we had a scheduled tour on the Boston Duck Tour. If you’re not familiar, the Duck Tour is a tour around the city in a big bus that travels on land and water. It’s a great way to start your trip in Boston. You get to learn a ton of history about the city, see famous landmarks and view the different areas. It even takes you in the Charles River for some additional beautiful views of Boston. Our guide was hilarious and the tour was fun and entertaining!

After the tour, we walked around the Boston Public Library and surrounding area before returning to the Courtyard Boston Downtown to gather our belongings and make moves to the next part of our trip. Although our experience with the hotel was brief, it was still very positive. The staff was extremely kind and helpful. The rooms and hotel as a whole were clean and inviting. I would definitely recommend staying here for your next trip to Boston!
