Boy, does time fly. I can not believe 6 months ago today, Casey and I got married. Now, those of you who know me are well aware that I am far from being outspokenly lovey-dovey or mushy-gushy (unless its about my family dog, Hercules. He definitely will have a post dedicated to him in the future. He’s perfection. Sorry…getting off track). For those of you who don’t know me, I promise, I’m not heartless, but have always valued privacy when it pertains to talking about “feelings” and intimate things. I realize that starting a blog, and posting a gazillion pictures on Facebook may make you think otherwise, but PDA gives me major anxiety.
I remember in the very very beginning stages of us dating, even before he was my “boyfriend,” Casey kissed me in front of a few family members that he had just met, and I literally thought I was going to die. I was SO embarrassed, I didn’t know how to react. I later had to have a serious conversation with him to explain that that couldn’t happen again. Like ever.
Well, I’ve come along way since then. Because Casey has always been loving and affectionate to me in both public and private, I thought it would be nice to cut the sarcasm for once, to express what a wonderful person he is. He is truly the man of my dreams and becoming his wife was the best day of my life (ha, that rhymes). A lot of people know our story, so I won’t get into all of the details, but I’ve had a crush on Casey since I was 12 years old. His mom even tried convincing me to like his brother Josh at the time, who was one of my closest friends, since “all the girls loved Casey.” She claims to not recall that, but I remember like it was yesterday. Throughout the years we kept in touch, and I remember telling him that if we’re both single by the time he turns 35, we should just get married and have babies. Luckily, I didn’t have to wait that long (referring to the marriage…not the baby making). Case, Happy 6 Month Anniversary. I love you.
