A year ago today, friends and family who were greatly affected by Hurricane Sandy put their own troubles behind and literally battled obstacles upon obstacles in order to make it to our wedding weekend in Florida. I remember like it was yesterday and looking back, I still can’t believe what everyone went through to celebrate me and Casey. Homes were destroyed, cars floated away, clothing and important belongings were completely under water, airports shut down. One brave friend (who shall remain nameless) broke into her seamstress’s evacuated house to get her bridesmaid dress!! Now that’s love. It’s moments like this that make you take a step back, stop complaining or worrying about the most insignificant things, and truly appreciate your life and the people in it. I have so many things to be grateful for and I really feel very lucky.
On a lighter note, a girl can never have too much leopard! I love that the name of this sweater from Bluetique Cheap Chic is called “Lucky in Leopard.” It’s so comfy and I have a feeling I’m going to wear it to death this fall and winter.
Wishing everyone a fantastic weekend!!!
