Marks & Spencer: The Spring Bootie

Most people associate boots and booties with cold weather. For me, they can be a shoe worn year round if styled correctly. When I saw this pair from Marks & Spencer, I knew they had to be mine! They truly are the perfect Spring bootie! From the neutral sand color to the open toe and ankle, to the block heel and the buckle detail, these booties are going to be on major repeat!

The weather here has been surprisingly much cooler than usual, at least in the mornings and evenings, so I have to assume most other places are experiencing some chilly days. One of the great things about wearing booties [other than them being so stylish] is that they’re super versatile and can be worn with tanks, with sweaters, and everything in between. This M&S beaded frill long sleeve sweatshirt is just way too cute, and I was so excited to pair it with these booties!

Marks & Spencer has a large variety of shoes and sandals.  These pink mules are next on my purchase list! As you can see, I’m loving the open toe and block heel trends right now, and have been for a while! The only major difference between those mules and the Spring booties picture above are that the mules have no strap or back around the ankle.

Some people get the terminology a bit mixed up with all these different shoe trends, so hopefully I can help clarify and explain the similarities and differences. Both booties and mules can be closed toe or open toe. Mules are always backless and can be any heel height. I’ve surprisingly been loving the flat mule trend just as much as the heeled version! Booties cover the top of the foot and stop just below the ankle. They also come in a variety of heel heights, so I suppose it’s easy to mix the two shoes up! Booties do however have a strap or back to them which is the main difference. You can see a closed toe and heel version here from a previous post.

What can I say…I’m a lover of shoes and want them all! If you’re looking for a great go to Spring bootie, definitely check these M&S ones out. They’re comfy and go with everything!
