My postpartum hair has been less than ideal. I was prepared for the common fall out once I stopped breastfeeding, but the texture is something I’m so not used to. The roots are sort of oily, and the rest of my hair is dry as can be, yet still super frizzy! Thanks hormones!!

Plus, I’m constantly using a hot curling iron or flat iron for styling, so there’s heat damage. Can’t blame hormones for that one!

Taking out my hair extensions was the first step in my attempt to repair my hair [along with taking proper vitamins and supplements]. The type of extensions I had were surprisingly not damaging at all, however, I felt like having the extra [fake] hair got in the way of properly taking care of my real mane.

My sister, who happens to also be my hair dresser, said my strands were so dead, and strongly encouraged me to chop my hair [way shorter than what you see in these pictures]. I allowed her to take off an inch and a half, but nothing more because I’m a baby when it comes to getting my hair cut!

So, because I refuse to cut my hair any shorter, I needed/need something that can actually undue some of the existing damage. That’s where Pantene Pro-V Intense Rescue Shots come in.

PANTENE INTENSE RESCUE SHOTS PRODUCT REVIEW

Pantene has been in the hair game for a long time… since the 1940s. This January, they launched their first ever at-home rescue treatment. Imported from Brazil, the new Pantene Pro-V Intense Rescue Shots are ideal for color-treated and heat-damaged hair. In just one single dose tube, this powerful Pro-Vitamin B5 formula contains strengthening lipids and natural glycerin, transforming even the most damaged and dry hair.

Usage: [Once Per Week]

Step 1: After washing your hair with shampoo, dispense the Pantene Pro-V Intense Rescue Shots into your hand. Each tube is meant for one single use, so use every last drop! [Three come in one box].

Step 2: Apply onto damp hair for 30 seconds and massage from root-to-tip.

Step 3: Rinse thoroughly for 30 seconds.

At first, [prior to trying] I assumed it was a fancy name for a conditioning treatment. However, unlike conditioning treatments, the Pantene Pro-V Intense Rescue Shots rinse out easily, and don’t weigh down your hair.

I’m super impressed by this product! While my hair isn’t perfect, it definitely looks and feels so much better than before! As I mentioned, I’m constantly using high heat tools, so the fact that the Pantene Pro-V Intense Rescue Shots repairs damaged hair AND prevents split ends, makes me feel a little bit better that I’m knowingly damaging my hair. I recently picked up my second box!

Pantene’s mission for more great hair days is evident in these Intense Rescue Shots. Yay for healthy, beautiful hair! And double yay for more confident women!! You can purchase the Pantene Pro-V Intense Rescue Shots now at Walmart.com – see here!
