I have been super slacking on my posts! Just got back from spending a quick week in New York, and traveling makes me completely out of whack. I hate packing. I hate unpacking. I hate not having all of my belongings with me. And even though I manage to get my suitcase to weigh a solid 49 lbs, I somehow always regret my outfit decisions upon arrival and feel like I don’t have enough stuff. Obviously, I check the weather, but New York is going through some serious menopause which makes it that more difficult to plan ahead. Anyway, I hope one of these days I master the art of packing, but in the meantime, I’m thankful to have the opportunity to travel so frequently and spend time with friends and family. One of my dear friends, Jodi got engaged recently, so I was excited to catch up with her and spend the day in the city eating and shopping…and eating 🙂 .
Chambray and denim, or denim on denim have been on rotation with my outfits lately. Its easy. Its cool. Love it. I decided to spruce up my normal go to look and add some color. Lime green with turquoise, mint, and cobalt is not a usual combination that I would wear, but its minimal pops of color and kind of reminded me of a peacock (minus the rich jewel tones). Ironically, Peacock is the last name of my friend Rachel, who I also spent time with in the city, so perhaps she was my inspiration all along.
