As Casey and I plan to get the nursery ready for Baby C and discuss purchasing our first home, I’ve been searching and surfing the internet for different fabrics, designs, and decor ideas.  Interior design has always been a love of mine and when I was a little girl, being an Interior Decorator was on my top 3 list of what I wanted to be when I grew up.  With our hectic life these past few years and the constant moving and ever so changing life plans, it was never a priority for me to go crazy with decorating our apartments, being they were temporary.  Don’t get me wrong, we’ve always wanted to live in a clean, nice space, but spending a ton of time and money to really make the place our own just never seemed that important.  Our chaotic lifestyle has been a ton of fun and I wouldn’t change anything about it, but eventually we would like to at least pretend we’re all grown up and settle down as we raise our soon to be newest addition.

I would describe my decor style as a little eclectic, but mostly modern contemporary.  I love classic and trendy pieces, pattern mixing, clean lines, asymmetry, a neutral palette with pops of color, and bright, sleek, open spaces.  Because I tend to take the less is more approach, I want to make sure that each piece added for decoration purposes (such as pillows, throw blankets, lamps, book ends, etc) is interesting, serves a purpose and enhances the overall look.
